Progress ... we have interior walls and ceilings
The insulation finally got done last week, this cleared the last major hurdle for the final push. Once we had our inspection (no problem as always), we got started on the drywall and plywood ceiling in the lanai.
By this coming Monday, they should have all the interior of the addition completed and ready for paint. Right now, everything is hung and the first pass at finishing has been done. They are letting everything dry today (inside), and will be out on Saturday and Sunday to complete the finishing. The plan is for Monday to spray the walls.
For the ceiling in the lanai, we opted for plywood. This will be painted and will look like finished ceiling. The plywood gives us more strength and allows for easier upgrades in the future. Our plan is to do Cyprus or another natural wood on the ceiling.
We tile both the bathrooms. the guest bath (and pool bath), will be tiled floor to ceiling. We will try for a contemporary "Asian" look, and have decided to use a combination of teak wood, white ceramic tiles, blue glass tiles and "sand" colored floor tiles.
